How do I troubleshoot problems with Content Filters on my website?

The WP ADA Compliance plugin has a variety of content filters designed to correct issues on your website. Rather than changing the database content, the content is filtered as it is displayed. This does not normally result in any detectable changes to the website content. If changes do occur here is how to identify and disable the filter that is causing the issue:

  1. Go to the Web Accessibility > Settings page.
  2. Click on the “Content Filters” tab.
  3. Disable the first option listed “Use this option to enable or disable filtering of website content. Additional settings in this section provide fine control over what issues are being filtered on your website.”.
  4. Verify that the problem has been resolved, if the problem has been resolved then the WP ADA Compliance plugin is causing the issue and you should continue to the next step.
  5. Re-enable the setting disabled above.
  6. Work your way down the page disabling each option and checking the website until you identify the setting that is causing the issue.

Once the issue has been resolved, you may want to report the issue for correction.
