How can I translate the WP ADA Compliance Check plugin
Our plugins are configured to use WordPress Translation and a Poedit (POT) file has been provided to facilitate translation to the desired language.
Complete the following steps to translate your website:
- Download the free Poedit editor
- Find the provided PO file in the languages folder of the wp-ada-compliance archive
- Open wp-ada-compliance-en_EN.po using Poedit
- Choose “Create a translation”
- Choose the desired language and click “OK”
- Choose “Save As” and prefix the file with “wp-ada-compliance-“
- Note where you are saving the file and click “Save”
- Click on each line of source text and translate it as desired. For $15 we will provide an pre-translated PO file in the desired language. Because it will be AI generated, we can not guarantee the accuracy of the translation. To receive a language translation file complete your purchase in our online store, choose the desired language code and submit the request using our online contact form.
- After translating the content, choose “File > Save”
- Choose “File > Compile to MO…”
- Copy your PO and MO files your website in the following location “wp-content/languages/plugins”
- Open your WordPress Dashboard and choose “Settings > General”
- Select the correct site language from the dropdown
