How can I translate the WP ADA Compliance Check plugin

Our plugins are configured to use WordPress Translation and a Poedit (POT) file has been provided to facilitate translation to the desired language. 

Complete the following steps to translate your website:

  1. Download the free Poedit editor 
  2. Find the provided PO file in the languages folder of the wp-ada-compliance archive
  3. Open wp-ada-compliance-en_EN.po using Poedit
  4. Choose “Create a translation”
  5. Choose the desired language and click “OK”
  6. Choose “Save As” and prefix the file with “wp-ada-compliance-“
  7. Note where you are saving the file and click “Save”
  8. Click on each line of source text and translate it as desired. For $15 we will provide an pre-translated PO file in the desired language.  Because it will be AI generated, we can not guarantee the accuracy of the translation. opens in a new windowRequest Translation File – Please choose a language code before requesting a translation file.
  9. After translating the content, choose “File > Save”
  10. Choose “File > Compile to MO…”
  11. Copy your PO and MO files your website in the following location “wp-content/languages/plugins”
  12. Open your WordPress Dashboard and choose “Settings > General”
  13. Select the correct site language from the dropdown
